Right now I am working on a project on black fabric. I find the easiest way to cope with this is to keep a white blanket on my lap so that it helps me see the holes in the Aida fabric.
Some people use a lamp under their work or an uplight. I just use a blanket – the dog likes it too. She thinks I use it so she can lay in my lap while I am stitching!
