Substituting Flosses and Adding Filaments

The Nativity Ornaments tell the story of Jesus birth in lovely detail. (This set of ornaments is on my wishlist.) They are lovely as is, but when I stitch them, I think I will add some blending filaments and braids to add more sparkle and detail.

It’s easy to substitute flosses and add in filaments – don’t be scared to branch out a little. Start by adding a bit of sparkle to one project like adding some gold to the angel perhaps or a glint of ruby to the standing wise man’s robe. Then let your imagination soar from there. Before you know it, you will be adding beads and who knows what else to your projects!
