Stamped Cross Stitch Kits
Stamped cross stitch kits allow you to create complex, detailed designs in a fraction of the time needed for counted cross stitch. Since the pattern is screened onto the fabric, all you need to do is stitch over it. Often the pattern is printed in full color. If it is printed in washable blue ink, you'll need to refer to a color chart to know which floss to use where. Three designs by Sandy Orton show the versatility both of our talented designer and of stamped cross stitch kits. "Home Sweet Home" is a densely designed sampler type of pattern, with the central saying surrounded by a plethora of images: cat, dog, quilt, tea and cake, and of course the little cottage itself. The design is stamped on poplin fabric, and even includes a little golden charm for the cat's collar! A more delicate aesthetic defines Sandy's "Wedding Sampler." The text says "May your marriage be blessed with faith, joy and love," and there is an alphabet included for personal information. That is surrounded by a wide border of pink flowers and lacy greenery. What a delightful gift this would be for the happy couple! "Plant the Seeds" envisions a pastel scene with bunny, watering can, flower-decked straw hat, birds, and a flower pot in which violas are planted.
