Keep it Clean

A stitcher sent an e-mail to the Studio asking about how to wash a project that had gotten soiled while she was stitching. Most cross-stitch can be washed without any problem, but one still has doubts about the color-fastness of floss. The stitchers at Kooler Design Studio have a few suggestions for keeping your stitching clean.

  • Don’t eat or drink near your stitching
  • Place your work-in-progress in a plastic bag large enough to cover it to keep dirt off the fabric
  • Always wash your hands before you pick up your work
  • These simple steps will really help to keep your hard work clean and neat.
